Waitakere Estate Wedding.
Even though it was a grey drizzling day for Leonard and John's wedding, Waitakere Estate was the perfect venue to capture the scenery of the day.
Plan A was to have the ceremony in the garden (which is stunning) but the call was made to move to plan B and we set up in the cute little onsite chapel.
The reception room on a sunny day has killer views of Auckland but even on a greyish day the room was still light and beautiful. Louise from A touch of Class styled the room with a rustic look of log rounds, hessian table runners and chair bows. Leonard and John added more wood elements with favor boxes and super cute wooden name tags.
The flowers were garden style blooms like roses, stock, alstromeria and hellebore in reds creams and greens. Using a mix of varying sized green and amber coloured glass bottles to give a relaxed informal look. I loved doing this simple wedding set up that looked perfect for the venue.
November Wedding at the Wharf.
In Auckland it's been a damp Spring but November the 12th was a stunner of an Auckland day for Nathan and Ashika's wedding.
Ashika just loves flowers- my kinda girl, so it was roses, roses and more roses for her wedding flowers with a little dusty miller and lavender greenery. Her vision was to have a romantic fairy tale theme for her wedding.
Loved mixing the pink, cream & peach tones together. Ashika's flowers and the bridesmaid's bouquets were all similar in colours.
Wedding reception was at The Wharf and it was my first time setting up there. I was working with Janine from Temptation Cakes to set up the massive 4 tier wedding cake with my silk flowers. This venue has the BEST spot for a show stopper wedding cake, right in the center of the space.
With the sparkling sea during the day and city lights at night this is such an elegant venue.
